Bob is very old now. He has two big houses and a new car. He has no wife but he has four children-- two

sons and two daughters. One son, Bill, is from England, and the other one, Mike is from America. One of his

daughters, Lanlan, is from China and the other is from Japan, her name is Mikou. You see, Bob is not the four

children's real father, but he loves them very much. Of course the four children love their "father" too.

Bob has many toys for the children at home.  He gives different toys to different children. The boys play

with toy cars. And the girls play with dolls and toy animals. In fact, Bob is not only the children's father but also

their friend.

     "Hi. Can I sit down?"
I raised my head and there she was, with an irresistible smile on her round face.
"What are you looking at?" she asked.
     "Ants."
     "What are they doing?"
     "No idea."
"I bet they're playing games and making friends. Don't you think so?"
That was how our   8   started and it didn't stop. We talked about everything under the sun-the ants,
the clouds, my little niche (处境) - until it was sunset.
