【方法技巧】如何判读地质地貌剖面图

(1)利用地表形态判断是山还是谷,地表向上弯表示山,向下弯表示谷。判断背斜与向斜不能看地面,必须看地下,即地下岩层向下弯表示向斜,向上弯表示背斜。如果地表出现山而地下是向斜或地表出现谷而地下是背斜,这就是向斜成山、背斜成谷现象。

(2)可能找到石油的构造一定出现在背斜中。

(3)如果地下出现断层,或地下出现显明的地下溶洞等现象,说明该地地质基础不稳定。

(4)地层年龄顺序可参考:垂直方向上越向上越接近地面,岩层越年轻;水平方向上,从背斜的中间向两侧,岩层逐渐变新(年轻),或从向斜的中间向两侧,岩层逐渐变古老。
