低压加热器的一个主要故障是管口的泄漏和管子本身的损坏,这一故障可由主凝结水漏入汽侧引起水位升高等现象,寻找泄漏的管子,可在汽侧进行水压试验,也可以用启动抽汽器在低压的汽侧的真空,用火焰在管板内装满水,如果哪根管子泄漏,这根管内就没有水。

胀接的管子如果胀口漏了,可以重胀,但如果胀口裂了,则应更换。

钢管本身损坏,可以换管在破裂的管端标上记号,把管系吊出,管板面着地倒置垂直地竖立,或者正立着悬挂在专有架子上,把破管割去,留下不大的一段直管,使有凸肩的圆棒,顶着这段直管回水室打出去,如管子在管板中胀得不紧,可用工具夹住管端将管子拉出来;如胀的很紧,可用比管子外径略小的纹刀将管板中的管段铰去,然后把管子打出去,对胀接的钢管,可用上述最后一种方法换管。

如钢管不能更换,则可用锥形钢塞堵焊住,对铜管低压加热器,则可使用锥行铜塞打进管端内,把环管暂时堵住。

焊接管口的钢管,如管口泄漏可用凿子凿去缺陷部位,注意凿去的面积不要扩大,用小直径低碳钢焊条补焊,如管口本身损坏,只能堵管,用锥形塞堵焊上。

低压加热器大法兰密封面泄漏也是常见的故障,低压加热器水室大法兰更容易泄漏,大法兰的泄漏的一个原因是垫片损坏或不良,可更换新垫片;另一个原因是大法兰刚性不够而变形,可以焊筋板增加刚性,焊后,用车床精加工密封面。

凡精修后的加热面均需进行水压试验。
