降水的条件是在一定温度下，当空气不能再容纳更多的水汽时，就成了饱和空气。

空气饱和时如果气温降低，空气中容纳不下的水汽就会附着在空气中以尘埃为主的凝结核上，形成微小水滴——云、雾。云中的小水滴互相碰撞合并，体积就会逐渐变大，成为雨、雪、冰雹等降落到地面。
