两种生命观

       ①年少时读过一个故事:越战期间,一架羌国直升飞机被击落,名叫史密斯的飞行员被越南人民军抓获后,赶忙从上衣口袋里掏出一张纸条,连连叫道:“我投降!我投降!”据说参战的美国军人都带有这样一张纸条。

       ②换成日本人或中国人,这几乎是不可想象的。他们只有两种选择,战斗至死或者自戕。杀身可成仁,而投降则是一种莫大的耻辱。

       ③在第二次世界大战中,这两种生命观都得到了充分体现。大平洋战争初期,驻守东南亚的英军发现自己不是日军的对手,主动投降了。战争后期,美国在取得了绝对的制空和制海权之后,步步进逼日本本土。日本人不是傻子,他们应该明白,两个欧洲伙伴已经被盟军的炮火碾碎,他们也大势已去,战败只是时间问题。但他们还是要战,为了太阳旗和《君之代》,为了日本皇军的“尊严”,无数日本飞行员和飞机一起在琉球附近的海域“玉碎”,还有一些日本兵在另外的地方,把军刀插进了自己的肚里。

       ④世界上唯一使用过原子弹的国家是美国,唯一吃过原子弹的国家是日本。日本要用国民的生命换得“体面”的战败,而美国则希望用更少的牺牲赢得更实惠的胜利,一个拼命似三郎,一个惜命如金,于是“胖男孩”降临广岛和长崎。在玉碎瓦碎肢体碎之后,天皇这才面红耳赤地走出来,宣读了无条件投降书。战争的结果具有讽刺意味,“怕死”的美国人打赢了,不怕死的日本人反而输了。 

       ⑤两种生命观体现了两种文化,一种文化重义重气节,一种文化重利重生命。日本文化之根在中国,但又有别于中国,茶道之外,又加上什么武士道、文士道。

       ⑥中国文化十分看重气节。有的气节是真气节,如“仰天长啸,壮怀激烈”的抗金英雄岳飞,“人生自古谁无死,留取丹心照汗青”的抗元英雄文天祥,收复台湾的抗荷英雄郑成功。有的气节只是无谓的牺牲,如“不食周粟”,饿死在首阳山的伯夷、叔齐,以及为“贞”而死的诸多“烈女”。

       ⑦有时候,气节是装出来的,一旦发现有利可图,马上便会弃节保利。当日本人打进来以后,无数人做了与鬼子“并肩作战”的汉 * * ;二次大战期间,美 * * 英 * * 俄 * * 法 * * 波 * * 捷 * * 挪 * * 加在一起,也远赶不上汉 * * 的人数。这足以证明,真正有气节的人凤毛麟角。
