这是一个悬殊的对比:全世界每100本图书,85本由发达国家流向不发达国家;全世界每100小时音像制品,74个小时由发达国家流向不发达国家;美国生产的电影占全球影片数量的10%,却占用了全世界一半的观影时间。挑战不止于此。当人们赞叹中国经济惊人的成就时,也日益强烈地感到公共文化服务的短缺。城乡之间、东西部之间、不同收入群体之间的文化消费极不平衡,“精神饥渴”在物质满足的反衬下变得愈加强烈。
“一个只能出口电视机而不是思想观念的国家,成不了世界大国。”撒切尔夫人对社会主义中国的断言,刺耳刺激却发人深思。中国的崛起曾被称作“21世纪最激动人心的大事”,但这种崛起,不能只是物质财富的剧增、经济格局的重塑,而应伴随社会主义价值体系的传播,推助中华文化的弘扬,否则中国特色社会主义的话语权如何彰显、主动权如何体现
