     An important key to being successful in school is to have a pleasant personality. Students will be much

more successful if they have a respectful attitude to their teachers and their peers.   1    

     Remember to have self-confidence when faced with subjects that you find difficult.   2   . Don't feel bad

and give up because you are slow in a single area. Try your best and if someone hurts your feelings by

commenting negatively about your efforts, don't feel bad,because everyone has experienced difficulty in

pleasing others. Remember that your goal is to pass your classes and attend a university.

     Be honest with your teacher about your desire to be successful. Tell him/her about your goals and

dreams.   3   Volunteer to stay after school if necessary to receive tutoring or to complete work.

     Remember to have a positive attitude even when faced with an obstacle. Every obstacle presents an

opportunity for success.   4   we have all experienced failures, but successful students are those who pick

themselves up and proceed even when with obstacles.   5   There is no doubt that you have many talents,

and you should not be discouraged id someone dose not appreciate one of your abilities. You may be musical,

artistic, creative, athletic, analytical, and / or friendly. Your school counselor (辅导员) might be able to

recommend tests to determine abilities, but you are ultimately the one who will build the talents through choice

and dedication (专心致志).

A. If you are struggling with a subject, be honest about the difficulty that you are experiencing.

B. Just as employers would much prefer to hire cooperative employees, teachers do appreciate students 

    who know how to behave and be respectful.

C. What students focus on nowadays is enjoying their lives freely.

D. If you try you best, do not get angry about a failure.

E. in a word, students vary from person to person.

F. Most students tend to be strong in some areas and weak in others.

G. Try to discover where your talents are.
