(1)汉武帝时主要推行儒学教育。在接受董仲舒建议,“罢黜百家,独尊儒术”,把儒家学说作为封建正统思想。在长安兴办太学,以儒家的“五经”为主要教材。

(2)由于儒家思想在根本上适应、反映并体现了中国古代在社会结构、家与国之间特殊基础上形成的伦理道德和政治,注重经世致用,为当时社会的政治和经济服务。所以,使其沿袭了2000余年。对于儒家文化和儒家思想,应当采取继承其精华,弘扬其优良部分,剔除糟粕,批判和否定其消极因素。如儒家思想提倡的尊老、教贤、尊师等等,则是我们今天应大力提倡的。
