除中指胃气垂绝之时,本当不能食,而反突然求食,是病情恶化的表现。多为疾病后期疾病恶化,或由误治,而致中阳虚衰,受纳腐熟无权,衰败之胃气与欲绝之正气作最后挣扎而出现假象。其临床表现为在疾病的后期,真脏之气将竭之时,患者突然能食,或神昏骤然转清,均为假象,是疾病迅速恶化的表现。
