东汉与匈奴的关系如何?

参考答案:刘秀建立东汉后,再次派人出使匈奴,以通旧好。汉匈关系虽有一定改善,但匈奴贵族内部矛盾重重,一再分裂火并,对汉也一再侵扰。

公元46年匈奴分裂南北两部,史称南北匈奴。南匈奴内附,向汉“奉藩称臣”,并求使者监护。南匈奴渐转为定居生活,从事农耕,并且向东向南迁移。在汉的护卫下,南匈奴日益强大。北匈奴见南匈奴与汉关系密切,很惶恐,也表示愿与汉亲善,亲求与汉和亲,汉政府亦采取羁縻政策。明帝时,北匈奴又一再侵扰北边郡县,掳掠汉人和南匈奴人,并控制了西域地区。东汉王朝为了保障河西地区安全,并且恢复和西域地区的交通,发动了对北匈奴的战争。公元73年,窦固等率兵分四路北伐,追击北匈奴于蒲类海,夺取伊吾,置官屯田。公元89年,派窦宪等率军联合南匈奴大败北匈奴。公元91,汉将耿夔击败北匈奴,单于遁逃,部众破散。大部分北匈奴向西迁移,少数降汉或融入其他诸族,漠北渐被新兴的鲜卑占据。
