参考答案:荀子最后一次担任祭酒,约在公元前265年后的齐王建时代。齐王建是齐湣王的孙子。湣王死后,齐将田单收复了被五国瓜分的土地,湣王儿子法章继位,法章死后传位于齐王建。末代齐王为重振学宫特邀荀子再任祭酒。齐王建母后专权,其本人是一个苟且偷安,处处妥协,不知居安思危的人,荀子通过丞相后胜劝谏不成,反而遭馋,不得不离开稷下学宫,定居在他曾两度担任县令的兰陵,晩年著书,直到终老。
