奥斯威辛的风

2004年10月,我独走欧洲,出席第33届“华沙之秋”诗歌节。抵达华沙的当天夜里,我就向东道主提出一个要求:明年是反法西斯战争胜利60周年,能否到奥斯威辛一看?说这话时,我不知道奥斯威辛距华沙有多远。更不晓得东道主的具体安排。波兰协 * * 马列克沉吟着,翻译胡佩芳大姐也没接话茬儿。

几天时间匆匆过去,华沙的秋天留给我极美的印象,在一位演员的庄园里举行的诗人聚会让我领悟到老欧洲物独特魅力,而“华沙之秋”诗歌节在肖邦公园举行,诗意便愈加浓了几分。可我仍惦记着300公里以外的奥斯威辛。

10月18日中午12时30分,我终于踏进了奥斯威辛集中营。那一天早晨秋雨绵绵,出门还带了伞,及至抵达奥斯威辛,却陡然狂风大作。胡佩芳姐说,奥斯威辛是个奇怪的地方,参观者常碰到阴雨连绵。她并没有陪我到奥斯威辛,她说她受不了心灵的折磨!

这是一次奇怪而又匆忙的参观,毒气室、焚尸炉、铁丝网、岗楼、纹刑架,还有一个小院子里压成方块状的7000多公斤的头发……在27楼展览馆,我见到里面展出的一幅大照片;犹太妇女和儿童在德军枪口下高举双手,一个小男孩的目光中满是天真和无奈。这一幕极其令人震骇!在焚尸炉前,我和一群中学生共同走过,孩子们默默无语,我不知道他们心里想的是什么,但我的心底却陡然出现几句诗:

此刻,我变成了一块巨大的海绵。

迅速汲满了历史的汁液,

我的指尖也开始流泪,

为人类在那一个年代的无助与悲伤。

天上有巨大的云朵掠过,秋风卷起落叶,风中有一种嚎叫和呻吟。在奥斯威辛,这人类为了消灭人类而手造地狱里,我感到寒意袭人,是噩梦又是现实。真的可能是因为奥斯威辛长眠着100多万遇难者的冤魂,才形成了死一般的压抑、魔一般的恐怖,以及变幻无常的气候。

风仍在高天咆哮,吹动我的头发,吹动我的衣衫,我不知道这愤怒的风起于何处又生于何时,只感到脚下的土地也在风中战粟,铁丝网和绞刑架在风中摇晃,集中营的游人们,想必心底的风暴更远胜于自然界的狂风罢!

事后,我在自己的日记中记下这样一行文字:“欧洲,一个美丽的深秋的中午,在大群中学生的簇拥下,我走在奥斯威辛的土地上,快步疾走,有一种逃亡的感觉。”

当天我见到一位叫何敢的中国女留学生,她说曾经陪同一个代表团参观过奥斯威辛,然后连续难受了两个多月,以后再也不愿意去。由何敢联想到在波兰生活了半个世纪的胡佩芳大姐,她们对奥斯威辛的拒绝,是出于本能的对自己的保护。奥斯威辛集中营,是地狱的别称,正像美国总统切尼在2004年1月27日奥斯威辛集中营解放60周年纪念的论坛上说的:“在欧洲的死亡集中营里,有人犯下了人类所不能想像的最严重的罪行。我们必须向下一代传递这样的信息;我们在这里感谢那些将我们从暴政下解救出来的解放者,同时我必须有勇气阻止那些邪恶卷土重来。”

奥斯威辛是个小镇,建镇在800的前,二战前被称为波兰的“犹太人城”,因为当时的1.23万人口中有7000名犹太人。现在小镇有些不堪历史重负,因为人们无法想像小镇如何在一个巨大的公墓旁生存。

这当然仅只是游客的见解,事实上正是由于奥斯威辛的存在,人类的良知才凛然长存。
