这块地方浓缩了我们这个星球上的耕耘。

黄河边,一个山包包从黄土地上隆起,隆起在蓝幽幽无边无际的天穹下,隆成星球的一端。

四条腿的骡马或黄牛拖着犁,两条腿的人跟在犁后面,从东到西从西到东来来去去,把塬上的土地由南及北纺织一遍。犁过的土地就像一块纺织出来的黄布。人在纺织中将手里的种子下到地里。种子从地里长出来,土地变成绿色。

等到那些庄稼变成黄色,变成土地一样的颜色,人们拿起镰刀开始收割。收割之后又是耕种。上一代人走了,下一代人接着来,一代又一代重复着同样的事情。就像犁地,一来一去,来来去去纺织着土地。就像季节,黄了又绿,绿了又黄,换了一茬又是一茬。

人就像地面上的庄稼。阳光在我们身上闪耀着面包的光辉。那些玉米,那些麦子其实就是我们自己。我们在麦子身上,在玉米身上,在泥土中扎根生长。

季节,以镰刀的脚步,一步步走近。

黄土是沉淀的太阳,庄稼是长在泥土上的太阳,黄河是流动的太阳。

河水泛着阳光的亮色,那是土地的光辉,是发过酵的阳光,是我们的肤色和面容。

那么柔软,那么母性,这是世界上最柔情的土地,温柔得可以跟水一样流淌。人们用一道道田埂把它们挽住。挽住它们,也就挽住绿色,挽住食物和燃料,生活得以在山坡上停留。

人类在这块土地上的努力似乎是横向的。而流水好像是要把这些梯田经过一番梳理牵成纵向,带进黄河的涛声。水荡洗着人类那些蠢笨而生硬的界线。一场雨水之后,那些梯田,那些被人一块一块圈起来的土地,被扫抹成光滑的波浪线——整个梯田仿佛跟着水在柔柔地荡漾,那一道道漫过田埂的黄土带就像披散的长发,叙说着水的流淌。

雨水不断地把泥土带走。剩下来的黄土梁就像一具脊椎骨:两边布满一道道纵深切入的沟壑,残存的泥土就像一块块骨片,将骨片连到一起的是中间那道脊椎。辽阔的高原大地,横陈着一具具这样的脊椎。黄河一次次纵深切入,把它的脉络伸入高原内部。

一马平川的土地,一块块齐整整绿油油的田垄,笔直的大道欢快地一个劲儿向前。突然间一个纵深的断裂,路吓了一跳。来不及缩回的路,就像一只僵在那里的断臂。只有一条人行小道,像是一不小心跌入深谷。一跌下去就像一根掉进波浪的带子,被水卷着扭着,弯来扭去忽上忽下,眼看就要被卷走被扯断,谁知它竟从波峰浪谷中飘上来,一缕烟似的飘了上来。

路一次次断裂。每一次断裂总被人们的脚步跌跌撞撞连到一起。有时,他们干脆来到沟底,沿着水道前行,直到找到一块稍稍平整的地方。在下一次水毁之前,生活照样在残留的地方热闹起来。

千山万壑,放眼目力所及,大地尽是这个样子。时间和流水不断改变着地面形状,旧有的一切不断被流水带进黄河,直到不剩一丝绿色,不剩一点泥土。留下沙子在风中回忆这块土地曾经有过的形态。看看这块大地,人世间的一切都在这里上演,悲喜,伤痛,最后还有我们自己,我们生活过的场景,通通扔给大地。一代又一代人过去了,大地依旧摆在那里,仿佛什么也没有发生过。

有趣的是,女娲造人,用的也是泥土。起先,她一个一个地捏,后来干脆用一根绳蘸上泥浆,四处挥舞,泥点落地即是人。黄河就是她用过的那根绳子。
