柴油机可以按照操作的需要,利用离合器与工作机械接合或离开。

在使用中,摩擦离合器常遇到的故障是打滑和分离不开,这往往是开关盘的空位间隙(即离合器在接合情况下,开关盘处于松驰状态时,它与分离弹子的间隙)太大或太小造成的,适当的问隙应该是1土10mm。

开关盘的间隙,主要由垫在内锥形铜套后面的几片调节衬垫来调节,这些衬垫的正常总厚度是4mm,要增加开关盘的间隙,就增加衬垫的厚度,要减少开关盘的间隙,就减少衬垫的厚度。

在使用过程中,如果因开关盘的间隙随着摩擦片的磨损程度而减小,离合器产生打滑时,可以用减少垫在压板后面的圆垫圈的办法,以恢复开关盘的间隙。
