William Shakespeare was born in England on April 23rd, 1564 and died on his birthday in 1616.
When he was young, he liked reading and watching plays. He did all kinds of work for a living. At the
age of 21, he began to write. He wrote 37 plays and over 150 poems all his life. He was one of the
greatest writers in the world.
