Yancheng is a city in the north of Jiangsu . It is famous for its wetlands. The biggest wetland there has
an area of more than 45,000 hectares. It's an ideal shelter for many endangered birds.
There are a lot of insects and many kinds of plants in the wetland. They provide birds with enough
food. So there are lots of birds living in the wetlands. The red-crowned cranes are the most famous birds
in Yancheng wetlands. Every year, a lot of red-crowned cranes stay here for winter.
Wetlands are perfect homes for birds and animals, we must take actions to protect our wetlands. If we
don't, it will be impossible to see many endangered birds in the future.
