American newspapers say most American don't like to get advice from member of their family. They get advice from "strangers". Since they need advice, they, for example, young people and grown-ups don't usual ask people which they know. Instead, many of them only writes letters to newspapers and magazines which give advice on many difference subjects including many family problems, the use of language, health, cooking, child care, clothes, or even how to buy a house or a car.
