     An important key to being successful in school is to have a pleasant personality. Students will be much

more successful if they have a respectful attitude to their teachers and their peers.   1    

     Remember to have self-confidence when faced with subjects that you find difficult.   2   . Don't feel bad

and give up because you are slow in a single area. Try your best and if someone hurts your feelings by

commenting negatively about your efforts, don't feel bad,because everyone has experienced difficulty in

pleasing others. Remember that your goal is to pass your classes and attend a university.

     Be honest with your teacher about your desire to be successful. Tell him/her about your goals and

dreams.   3   Volunteer to stay after school if necessary to receive tutoring or to complete work.

     Remember to have a positive attitude even when faced with an obstacle. Every obstacle presents an
