一个组织的形象构思与策划成功与否,取决于三个方方面协调与平衡。

(1)组织利益与公众利益的协调与平衡:公共关系是组织求发展的一种策略,公共关系的目标是为了促进组织的发展,面公共关系学认为,组织的任何发展都应该和自己的公众环境的发展相协调。任何损害公众利益的发展,只不过是为将来设置陷阱。因此,组织公共关系的目标中,既要反映组织发展的要求,也要反映公众对象对本组织的要求。

(2)总体形象与选定形象的协调与平衡:组织形象的好坏是相对于公众的要求而言的,形象设计目的是设法赢得公众的好感和支持。然而,组织所面对的公众非常复杂,对组织的要求千差万别。组织的公共关系目标,一方面要照顾各类公众对象的一般要求,避免“厚此薄彼”;另一方面又要特别突出本组织在首要公众对象心目中的特定形象,以形成特殊的形象风格。

(3)知名度与美誉度的协调与平衡:知名度和美誉度是公共关系追求的目标,不应偏颇任何一项。一方面,既在主要公众中获得足够分量的好评,也在一般公众心目中赢得普遍的好感;另一方面,既有足够的美誉度,也有相应的知名度。
