同步发电机并列操作分为:准同期并列和自同期并列。准同期并列的方法是发电机并列合闸前已加励磁,当发电机电压与并列点系列侧电压的幅值,频率,相位接近相等时,将发电机断路器合闸,完成并列操作。准同期并列投入并联的优点是合闸时没有冲击电流,缺点是操作复杂且较费时间。自同期并列方法是未加励磁,接近同期转速的发电机投入系统,随后给发电机加上励磁在原动机转矩同步转矩的作用下将发电机拉入同步完成并列操作;自同期并列的优点是操作简单迅速,不需增添复杂设备,缺点是合闸及接入励磁时有电流冲击。
