机制:Dam甲基化酶能使位于5’-GATC序列中的腺苷酸的N6位甲基化。一旦复制叉通过复制起始位点,母链就会在开始DNA合成钱的几秒钟至几分钟内被甲基化。此后,只要两条DNA链上碱基配对出现错误,错配修复系统就会根据“保存母链,修正子链”的原则,找出错误碱基所在的DNA链,并在对应于母链甲基化腺苷酸上游鸟苷酸的5’位置切开子链,再根据错配碱基相对于DNA切口的方位启动修复途径,合成新的子链DNA片段。

功能:充分反映了母链序列的重要性,对DNA复制忠实性有很大的贡献。
