从航空医学和维护旅客健康的角度看,患有下列病症的旅客一般不适宜乘坐飞机:处于抢救状态的休克、昏迷、颅内压增高等;颅脑损伤、颅骨骨折伴有昏迷或呼吸节律不整者,脑的炎症、肿瘤和近期做过气脑者;重度心力衰竭、心肌炎病后一个月以内、六周内曾发生心肌梗塞、近期心绞痛频繁发作、严重心律失常者,脑血管意外病后两周内,高血压病人收缩压超过24KPa(180mmHg)、舒张压超过17.4KPa(130mmHg)者;重支气管哮喘、肺结核空洞、肺气肿、肺功能不全的肺心病,大纵隔肿瘤、设计先天性肺囊胸、肺叶切除者,近期患自发性气胸、气胸、血气胸、渗出行胸膜炎伴有呼吸功能障碍者;重度贫血、外伤性大出血、血红蛋白在60G/L以下者;急性阑尾炎、溃疡面很深的胃肠道溃疡,特大肿瘤、肠梗阻、颅脑、腹部、眼球等脏器或组织损伤伴有积气者,骨折用管型石膏固定和吊重锤牵引者,腹部手术后不足48小时者,破伤风、气性坏置换者,严重中耳炎伴有耳咽官堵塞严重鼻窦炎伴有鼻腔通气障碍者,固定下颚骨手术者;出生不足14天的婴儿和妊辰八个月以上孕妇;艾滋病和国家规定的一、二类传染病;狂躁型精神病、癫痫病;酒醉或麻醉品及其它毒品中毒者;带有严重咯血、吐血、出血及呻吟症状的病人;面布严重创伤、有特殊情况可能引起其他旅客厌恶者。
