When people's life is getting better and better, more and more people choose to
spend their holidays abroad.
When people's life is getting better and better, more and more people choose to spend their
holidays abroad. The number of people traveling abroad in a certain city has been increasing since
2000, and in 2010 it reached up to 130000, which was almost 13 times what it was in 2000.
(There was a sharp increase in the number of travelers abroad in 2005 compared with the year
2000 in a city in China, when the number was only 10000. What's more, the year 2010 saw up
to 130000 travelers.)
The rapid development of economy has contributed to the boom in tourism and enabled people
to afford to travel abroad. However, we can see that many problems arise along with the trend.
Some people don't mind their behavior while they are traveling abroad and do something impolite,
such as spitting and throwing rubbish (littering casually) wherever they like. The poor behavior has
done great harm not only their personal images but also to the image of China, which is really shameful.
We should encourage people to travel abroad to broaden their horizons and learn more about
foreign countries. On the other hand, we need to improve people's personal qualities. China has
long been regarded as a country with good manners. We should keep some do's and don'ts in our
mind to guide our behavior in public, home and abroad to win respect for yourself and our country!
