Madam Curie was an outstanding woman, who was a Polish woman scientist. She was born in Poland and after she married, she went to France to study Chemistry and Physics.
She was well – educated, intelligent and hardworking. With a very strong will, she never lost heart when she was in great trouble. She loved science so much that she devoted all her life to it. She was well – known for having made great achievement for human beings. In 1993, she received the Nobel Prize for Physics because she together with her husband discovered the radium element. Nine years later, in 1911, again she got the Nobel Prize for Chemistry and became the first woman to win two Nobel Prizes in the world.
