地理位置	位于广州市中山四路忠佑街
基本情况	始建于明洪武三年(1370年)，当时岭南地区最大庙宇，广州城标志性建筑，(landmark building),也是清代”羊城八景”之一。
目前现状	年久失修，破损不堪，多数建筑已被拆毁。
修复规划	为迎接亚运，市政府拟投资500万，2010亚运会前修复其主体建筑。

The Restoration of the Guangzhou Chenghuang Temple

The Guangzhou Chenghuang Temple is located in the Zhongyou Street, Zhongshan 4th Road. It was built in 1370, the 3rd year of the Hongwu Period of the Ming Dynasty, and was the largest Chenghuang Temple of its time in the Lingnan Region. It was also seen as a landmark building of Guangzhou and was noted as one of the “Yangcheng Eight Scenic Spots” in the Qing Dynasty.

However, due to long years’ lack of repairs and protection, the temple is now shabby and broken and many of its buildings have been pulled down. Happily, to welcome the 2010 Asian Games, the city government has decided to invest 5 million yuan for its restoration, the main building of which is to be completed before the 2010 Asian Games are held.
