David, a 17-year-old American boy, has a muscle disease. No doctors can explain what is wrong with him or cure him. Weak and clumsy, he often drops things and can’t walk steadily, but he does fairly well in writing and computer programming. Although his disease causes some inconvenience to his life, it has made him grow stronger and more independent in many ways. His ambition is to work in the computer field in the future.
