Fire Causes
As we all know, fire, one of the most terrible killers in our modem society can be caused by many factors.
First, it is mainly caused by smokers, as can be seen from the graph. In 2008, thousands of fires happened
in our city. About 50% of them were caused by smokers who left cigarette-ends everywhere. 30% were caused by defective insulation and 20% by children playing with matches. No matter what type of fire it was, there was one thing in common: Carelessness.
Therefore, we should warn children of the dangers of playing with matches. At the same time, workers
should know the importance of good insulation to people' s lives. Of course, smoking should not be allowed in
public places.
