Spring Festival
As you know, the Spring Festival is the most energetic and important festival in China. We celebrate it
cheerfully. It may take place in January or February and lasts fifteen days. Before the festival, People often
do spring cleaning, and decorate their houses. On the Eve of the Spring Festival, People studying or working
in other cities will come back. In the evening, the whole family are sitting together to have supper, watch the
Spring Festival programs and set off firecrackers until midnight.
On the first day of the new year, all the people, old and young, especially children will dress up and pay a
visit to their friends and relatives. Lucky money is given to children by elders as a gift.
