Today the students in our class made speeches about the effects of the Internet on our lives. There are two kinds of opinions. Some students argued the pros ,while the others presented the cons of Internet use. They made good presentations.

There are many good and bad things about the Internet, which I have never thought about before. For example, some students think spending too much time on the Internet makes it harder to form social ties. In addition,they talked about how heavy Internet users became used to spending more time with their online friends than their real friends. This is an aspect of the Internet that alarms me.

There are good things too., like how we can find up-to-date information, and communicate with people who are far away. What's more, some students believe that we can relax ourselves on the Internet by listening to music or seeing films.

Both sides showed lots of facts to support their opinions. Personally, I have a great appreciation for the Internet, which is of great benefit to our lives.
