答案

When my tenth birthday was coming up, I couldn’t help imaging what kind of present my parents would give me. To my surprise, they gave me a book, My Life Story, which was written by an American writer---Helen Keller. In the book, she wrote that she had not been able to see, hear or speak. Disabled as she was, with the help of Miss Sullivan, she learned how to write English words and published many famous works, and My Life Story is just one of them. It was Miss Sullivan’s continuous encouragement and instruction that inspired her to live her life to the fullest.

I was impressed with the writer’s determination and Miss Sullivan’s kindness. Whenever I felt depressed because of learning difficulties, I would read the book once more.

Although it was ten years ago that I read the book, it shows me a universal truth that books are our friends, which always push us to move on.
