Dear Editor,

I am writing to congratulate Mr. Mo Yan on winning the 2012 Nobel Prize in literature. Mr. Mo is a great writer and certainly deserves the prize. I am sure that Chinese authors and their works will get more international attention from now on. In the long run, Chinese culture will become more internationally recognised and respected.

Inspired by Mr. Mo, these days the students of our school are reading his novels and the works of other famous Chinese authors. As we know, literature works help us learn the customs and cultures in the past and at present, at home and aboard. What’s more, they provide us with good wxamples of writing. Therefore, it benefits us a lot to do more reading.

I do hope that Chinese people will win more Nobel Prizes in the near future.
