I’m writing to tell you about the discussion we carried out on whether it is necessary for middle school students to have mobile phones.
The majority of the students think that students should have mobile phones because they think that it is more convenient for them to keep in touch with their parents and classmates if they have mobile phones. Besides, they can send messages and take pictures with mobile phones. And what’s more, it’s a fashion.
However, most teachers don’t think so. They think that middle school students are not old enough to control themselves. With mobile phones, students may play games, send messages or take photos, which is a waste of time and affects their studies. Besides, it is reported that mobile phones can produce radiation, which does harm to their health.
In my opinion, as middle school students, we should not follow the fashion. Instead, we should put all our heart into our studies.
