游灵岩天平山记

①吴郡之西为湖,东为江,独灵岩天平为山之胜境。予昔陪宋尚书诚夫来游,距今十有七年矣。其山峦林麓陂池之美,盖尝粗记而未能再览其详也。

②至正已丑春暮,判簿顾君定之等,约余为山行。於城西之枫桥入,先抵吴安山下,即乘肩舆行。二三里至观音山,又行抵北山,还宿衍福精舍。

③明日,复就肩舆,由吴安山左,度天平岭,瞻文正范公故祠:乔木森茂,异石林立。转过野桥村店,山回涧曲,樵歌牧唱,相与应答於翠微空旷之间,里人所谓鸡经山、虎子谷者,突然乎其左;琴台山献、羊肠岭者,兀然乎其右。迤值上陂陁,经荦确,皆陟险攀缘而上,直抵灵岩山永祚塔寺后。回望诸山,皆在其下;山色苍茫,湖光镜净,瞰飞鸢於木杪,睇云帆於天际。乃环山而归,复抵天平之白云寺。入拜范公祠下,出则日色已晡,烟光黯淡,诸峰默立,如拱如揖,如迎如送

④余谓定之曰:“人生聚散之踪,来不可期,去不可追。矧岁月奔驰,一俯一仰,悉为陈迹,物是而人非者有矣。今则天和日晴,川朗山秀,心开而目明,意适而情畅,有朋侪足以倡和,酒肴足以献酹,岂知非它日之观美乎!则斯游也,不可以不记。”
