芙蓉通常晚秋开花,色彩主要是白色和红色。极其美丽。

成都人常将芙蓉花种植在花园、学校、居室内用作观赏。芙蓉花瓣采摘下来可以做成芙蓉花茶,馨香润泽;芙蓉花也可以入药,对于一切疮痈肿毒、乳痈等症,初起外用,能消肿止痛;已成者内服,有排脓之功。可治肺痈。芙蓉的花茎皮纤维柔韧而耐水,可作缆索和纺织品原料,也可造纸。

芙蓉花对土壤要求不高,瘠薄土地亦可生长,丛生,高仅1m许,大型叶,叶呈心型,花朵较大。芙蓉花在深秋开放,所以常含着美丽坚强,不畏严寒,勇敢的精神。诗人范成大在《 窗前木芙蓉》中赞美它“辛苦孤花破小寒,花心应似客心酸,更凭青女留连得,未作愁红怨绿看” 。

A Father’s day is a day set aside for honouring fathers in church services and in

the home. It’s celebrated in the U.S. in the third Sunday of June. This idea was begun by Mrs John Bruces Dodd, who in 1909 persuaded an organization in Washington to

salute fathers with special church services. The idea was officially agreed to by President Woodrow Wilson in 1916. In 1924, President Calvin Coolidge suggested national celebration of the day to form closer relations between fathers and their children, and to impress upon fathers the full measure of their duties.
