(1) 我们谁都知道自己难免一死。但是这一天的到来,似乎遥遥无期。当然人们要是健康无恙,谁又会想到它,谁又会整日去惦记着它。于是便饱食终日,无所事事。

(2) 有的时候,要是人们把活着的每一天看作是生命的最后一天该多好啊!这就更能显示出生命的价值。如果以为生命还比较漫长,我们的每一天就不会过得那样有意义、有朝气,我们对生活就不会总是充满热情。

(3) 我们对待生命如此倦怠,在对待自己的各种天赋及使用自己的器官上又何尝不是如此?只有那些聋了的人才更加珍惜光明。那些成年后失明、失聪的人就更是如此。然而,那些耳聪目明的正常人却从来不好好地去利用他们的天赋。他们视而不见,充耳不闻,无任何鉴赏之心。事情往往就是这样,一旦失去了的东西,人们才会留恋它,人得了病才想到健康的幸福。
