     Mark Twain, the famous American writer and a great master

of humor,liked to play jokes on others. But once a joke was played

on him. One day Mark Twain was invited to give a talk in a small

town. At lunch he met a young man,one of his friends.

     The young man said that he had an uncle with him. He told

Mark Twain that his uncle never laughed or smiled, and that

nobody and nothing was able to make his uncle smile or laugh.

      "You bring your uncle to my talk this evening," said Mark

Twain. "I'm sure I can make him laugh. "

     That evening the young man and his uncle sat in the front.

Mark Twain began to speak. He told several funny stories and

made everyone in the room laugh. But the man never even smiled.

Mark Twain told more funny stories, but the old man still kept

quiet. Mark Twain continued to tell his funny stories. Finally he

stopped. He was tired and quite disappointed.

     Some days later,Mark Twain told another friend what had

deaf for years. "

选准人生的参照物

       ①人生是需要参照物的,有了人生的参照物,你才能体会到什么是苦,什么是甜,什么是幸福快乐,什么是痛苦和悲伤;才能真正去感受人生,去品味人生。一个人只有选准了人生的参照物,才有快乐人生、幸福人生和精彩人生。

       ②然而,在人生的课题中,参照物的选择并不是那么简单,实质上这是一个人的世界观、人生观、价值观的重要体现。树立了正确的世界观、人生观和价值观,才能选准人生的参照物。一代廉吏张伯行有一句名言:“一丝一粒,我之名节;一厘一毫,民之脂膏。宽一分,民受赐不止一分;取一文,我为人不值一文。”他秉着这句誓言,一生清正廉洁,从不收受下属的礼品,在当地老百姓中有口皆碑,为人们所敬仰,康熙称其为“天下第一清官”。民族英雄林则徐任两广总督查禁鸦片时期,曾在自己的府衙写了一幅对联:海纳百川有容乃大;壁立千仞无欲则刚。这幅对联形象生动,寓意深刻。上联告诫自己,要广泛听取各种不同意见,才能把事情办好,立于不败之地;下联砥砺自己,当官必须坚决杜绝私欲,才能像大山那样刚正不阿,挺立世间。林则徐以实际行动实践了这一精神,令人钦敬,为后人之鉴。反之,如果一个人选错了人生参照物,其对待生活盲目攀比,永不满足,心理失衡,甚至可能会做出一些不道德的卑劣的行为。原云南省省长李嘉廷,利用职务之便,伙同其家人收受他人贿赂1810万元,受到了法律的制裁,其妻自知罪责难逃而悬梁自尽,最终导致家破人亡。

       ③正确的世界观、人生观和价值观应该以实现人类的和平与发展、国家的繁荣富强以及人民的幸福安康为根本目的,将个人理想与实现这个伟大目标相结合,这样才能选准人生的参照物,这样的人生才是有意义的。毛 * * 、周恩来等老一辈无产阶级革命家在革命和建设年代始终不渝地为全人类的和平与解放这个目标而努力,开创了伟大的事业。“两弹一星”元勋钱学森为了国家的富强,实现科技报国的人生理想,毅然放弃了在美国的优厚待遇,回到一穷二白的新中国,在极其艰难的条件下,为我国的导弹卫星事业做出了不可磨灭的贡献。                                                                                                

       ④青年时期是一个人形成正确的世界观、人生观和价值观的重要时期,也是选准人生参照物的重要阶段。当前,在高度商业化和一些媒体不正确的导向下,社会上拜金思想严重,唯利是图的不良风气比比皆是,这些都可能对青年人选择正确的人生参照物产生不利的影响。因此,青年朋友更应该加强学习,自觉提高个人修养,根据国家和时代的需要,结合个人的实际情况选准人生的参照物。

       ⑤当然,并不是说我们要放弃对物质的追求。正当的、合法的物质追求是每个人的权利,也是社会进步的重要标志,是无可厚非的。

       ⑥前苏联作家奥斯特洛夫斯基说过,人的一生应该这样度过,当他回首往事时,不因虚度年华而痛苦,不因碌碌无为而悔恨,这样,在他临死的时候会说,我把自己的整个生命都交给了人类最崇高的事业——为全人类的解放而奋斗。让我们牢记先哲们的话,树立正确的世界观、人生观和价值观,选准人生的参照物,把握正确的航向,去谱写生命最美丽的篇章,让生命更精彩。
