曹某因涉嫌与他人共同贩卖毒品被逮捕羁押于看守所。其男友崔某约上曹某弟弟肖某欲在晚上到看守所“救”出曹某。当晚崔、肖二人携带铁管、螺丝刀等进入看守所，盗出监房钥匙，打开女监房，将曹某叫出后逃跑。在半夜逃跑途中，见一农用三轮车停在路旁，主人在后车里睡觉，三人联手将车主从车里扔出，之后由肖某驾车，三人继续逃跑。不料半路油料用尽。三人于是商议决定劫持过往车辆。不久三人拦截了一辆长途客车，崔某拔出刀子架在司机的脖子上胁迫司机改变行驶路线，朝边境行驶；曹某、肖某站在崔某身旁，没有作声。由于路况不好，加之司机十分紧张，一路上险象环生，几乎凡度翻车。乘客纷纷要求下车，崔某声称，要想下车，必须交出身上的钱物。曹、肖二人当场开始收取乘客钱物。众乘客在交出财物后才得以下车。司机也乘机逃走。于是肖某干脆自己开车，而且在不熟悉大客车驾驶的情况下高速驾驶，因此在路过某集镇时，不顾街上行人众多，仍高速行驶，结果行人躲闪不及，多人被撞伤，车在撞至一商店后才停了下来。后三人被抓获归案。

For many people today, reading is no longer relaxation. To keep up their work they must read letters, reports, trade publications, interoffice communications, not to mention newspapers and magazines: a never ending flood of words.
