  王羲之对书法勤学苦练,甚至走在路上,坐在椅子上,还揣摩着名家书法的姿势。手指不停地画着字形,时间一久,连自己的衣襟都被划破了。

  有一次他躺在床上,还用手临空画字,竞画到他的妻子身上。他妻子说:“你怎么老在人家身上画?自家体,没啦!”

  王羲之听到“体”字,忽然想到:是呀,应该创造自己的书体才是啊!于是,他翻遍了所有的碑帖手迹,糅合百家的长处,再加上自己的勤学苦练,终于自成一体,成了我国古代最著名的书法家。正因为王羲之不停地刻苦练字,天长日久竟练得腕力十足,写出字来笔锋带力,真可以说是力透纸背。有一次他去看望一个朋友,碰巧友人不在,于是他在茶几上写了几个字就走了。后来这家人用力擦也擦不净,用水洗也洗不清。他在木板上写的字,让木工拿去雕刻,木工刻时发现木板上三分深的地方还渗透有墨迹。因此后来人们都说王羲之的字“入木三分”。这虽然是一种夸张的说法,却很能说明他的工夫深啊!
