第三次过草地

  我们在雪山脚下,吃了一餐用为数甚少的土豆、青稞和野菜煮成的“饭”,整装出发了。同志们拄着木棍.踏着蜿蜒崎岖的山径向上攀登。忽然,西北方向涌起一块乌云,挨着山头压了过来,这预示着一场暴风雪将要来临。为争取时间,大家都不约而同地加快了脚步。不过一刻钟,暴风雪就来了。    

  好不容易挨到风停雪止,天色微明,大家互相搀扶着艰难地站立起来,又迈开了前进的步伐。冻得失去了知觉的双脚已不听使唤,走一步跌一跤,爬起来再走,走出二三十步才慢慢恢复了知觉。不少同志的脚冻裂了,鲜血渗透了裹在脚上的破布和草鞋,在雪地上留下了斑斑血印。越往上爬,积雪越厚,天气越冷,空气也越。稀薄了。同志们一步一停,一步一喘,每走一步都要用出全身的力气。在这最艰难的时刻,政治工作发挥出特有的威力。王建安政委不顾自己身体虚弱,不断地给部队鼓舞士气。各级干部以短促有力的口号,宣传队员们敲响锣鼓,打起“呱嗒板”,活跃气氛,激励大家去战胜困难。距顶峰越来越近了。突然,前面传来一阵欢呼声。走在我身后的警卫员一步跳到我跟前,手指着山顶高兴地说:“军长你看。”我抬头一看,只见一面鲜艳的红旗耸立在顶峰,在皑皑白雪的衬映下,是那样的光彩夺目,那样的振奋人心。
