The United Kingdom is located on the islands of West Europe with an area of 243,000 square kilometers.It has a population of 58,830,000, and its capital is London. It consists of four countries: England, Wales, Scotland , Northern Ireland, and some other small islands.It is separated from the continent of Europe by the North Sea, the Dover Channel and the English Channel. All the year round it is mild and wet with much rain and fog, especially in autumn and winter, and the average rainfall in a year is about 1,000 millimetres.
