“教育万能论”认为,教育在任何情况下都能时人的发展起主导作用,人的发展完全是由教育决定的。“教育万能论”对教育作用的高度评价、时认识教育在人发展中的作用有一定的意义。但它把教育视为人发展的决定因素,夸大了教育的作用。教育对人的主导作用并不是无条件的。

首先,教育的主导作用有一个范围限制,它是指在影响人的身心发展的几个主要因素一遗传、环境和教育中,教育相对于其他因素而言起主导作用,没有其他几个因素综合作用,教育是不可能发挥出主导作用的。

其次,教育作为一种有目的、有计划、有组织的社会活动,在一般情况下,是由经过专业训练的、具有较高素质的人员担任教育者。他们能够反映社会发展的要求,遵循人的身心。发展规律和教育自身的规律,因而能起主导作用。如果这些条件不具备,教育就不可能发挥主导作用。
